Geoff Turk

Geoff has almost thirty years' experience in the design, development and implementation of IT based strategic business information, risk and security solutions.

Geoff has spent the last few years almost exclusively working within critical computing solutions for agencies such as the NSW Department of Premier & Cabinet, NSW Police Force, NSW Fire Brigades, Railcorp, Office of State Revenue and peaking power generators. Geoff has assisted in their strategic planning, development of second sites, disaster recovery and business continuity planning, risk management around service redundancy and computer room relocations. Significant Disaster Recovery Planning engagements were undertaken at NSW Police Force and RailCorp which included developing the entire Disaster Recovery regime and templates for production of scores of plans.

Geoff has contributed to his profession through membership of Standards working parties, the Research Foundation for Information Technology (Sydney), and is a founding member and former National executive and Victorian state executive of the Information Security Interest Group (ISIG).

Geoff has worked for organisations such as Solution 6, Next Generation Software, PAXUS, NSW Government (Principal Consultant - Security), DMR Consulting, Fujitsu, The Birchman Group and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).
